Digital Marketing has become the standard in advertising for businesses across the globe. Creating engaging and unique marketing banners separates ads that convert from those that do not. Originally it was just Google Ads that you had to worry about. However, now you have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and a whole host of 3rd party ad networks. On top of that each of those platforms typically has several different ad types to choose from. I have 7+ years of experience in creating ads for these platforms and I have seen design trends for them come and go. But, the one thing that remains the same is that digital marketing ads are sticking around and learning to leverage the different platforms to meet your marketing needs is critical in runnning sucessful marketing campaigns.
Below are a few samples of my recent banner ads that I created while working for J2 Global and it's subsidiaries. Whether simplifying a complex problem with a facebook carousel ad or simply illustrating how your app works using animated gifs and video. The challenge with ads for corporations is maintaining the brand styles while still thinking outside the box creatively to develop engaging one-of-a-kind banners. Knowing when to follow the rules and when to break them is an art in itself that sets good designers apart from amazing designer.
